Double Gold at 2021 Amador County Fair 

This is a wonderful example of Calaveras Cabernet. Bordeaux blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 10% Malbec and 3% Merlot. It is warm and inviting on the nose with vanilla, cinnamon, dark fruit and tobacco. Bright and bold, yet true to Cabernet character, this wine is smooth and mouth-filling with a rich aftertaste of boysenberry. Nice and soft tannins.
